Dear Friend

Over the last couple of months we have all, at our different paces, begun to emerge from this strange and challenging season of lock-down and pandemic.

In the midst of the lock-down, although there were great challenges, the task of the local church was made easier by the reality that everyone was largely living in the same way. However as restrictions ease and people make personal decisions about how much they feel able to do in our new reality we wanted to take this opportunity to review and refresh how we support the communities of the Parishes by the Wall through this coming season of prayed for recovery.

To help us do this, and to support you as we respond in practical and spiritual ways to this extraordinary time, we would like to you invite you to take a few moments to fill out this simple survey which will inform our planning over the coming months.

We hope that it will only take you a few moments and all answers will be kept in confidence.

The other thing I wanted to confirm is that from this Sunday, 6 September, we intend to have a weekly service at 10.30am in both St Cuthbert's Haydon Bridge and All Hallows' Henshaw in addition to our regular 9am service on Facebook (and then subsequently on YouTube). To allow us to do this we will follow a pattern of Eucharists and services of said Morning Prayer alternating between Haydon Bridge and Henshaw, beginning this Sunday with a Benefice Eucharist at St Cuthbert's Haydon Bridge and said Morning Prayer at All Hallows' Henshaw.

We hope this simple development will be a confident way praying and supporting our communities in a manner which will allow people to return to and/or find their Parish churches at this time of need and recovery.

This as always, comes with every best wish,
