Over the time since our churches were allowed to re-open for worship, we have adopted a pattern of alternating between St Cuthbert’s in Haydon Bridge and All Hallows’ in Henshaw, at 10.30 am each Sunday, usually for a Eucharist. This has been in addition to the streamed 9am service on Facebook, with hymns and reflection. We have also continued to stream morning and evening prayer at 9 am and 6 pm each day. For Sunday services it helps our planning if you could contact the Church Wardens if you plan to be at these services.
Prayer for the Parishes by the Wall is offered daily and streamed on our Facebook page
Welcome to the Parishes by the Wall.
Our parishes comprise the Parishes of Haydon Bridge and Beltingham with Henshaw which serve the communities in the South Tyne Valley and the Diocese of Newcastle that run alongside the most famous and breath-taking sections of Hadrian’s Wall.
On this ancient frontier, we are living communities of faith who seek in all things to follow Jesus’ command to love God and love our neighbour with compassion, and generosity, and openness to all.
