After a gap of three years due to Covid, 27 pilgrims and two dogs set off from Allendale Square in perfect walking weather heading for Ninebanks, a walk of just under eight miles..The route folllowed sections of Isaac's Tea Trail firstly along the East Allen Valley and then crossing to the West Allen Valley. A first stop was made at Keenley Methodist Church. Roger, one of the group, gave a brief talk about the church. A further stop was made at Monk Farm from where there was a lovely view of Holy Trinity Church at Whitfield nestling in the valley amongst the trees. Sarah Blackett-Ord came to meet the group at this point and spoke about the history of the church. It was then onwards to St Mark's Church at Ninebanks and a very warm welcome to a 'Songs of Praise 'Service introduced by Rev'd Martin Naylor with prayers and refections led by LIzzie Smith and David Ratcliff. This was followed by a wonderful array of refreshments in the newly refurbished Ninebanks Church and Community Hall.

Thank you to David and all involved in the organisation of the day and particular thanks to everyone at St. Mark's Church for such a welcoming end to the afternoon.
