Class Act Murder Mystery

Indeed it was a Class Act!!!

The Over the Wall Players superbly performed the murder mystery play 'Class Act' this weekend in venues packed to capacity, Greenhead and Bardon Mill Village Halls respectively. A new addition to the group is the sound technician, Mr Malcolm Barnes.

The drama began with the appointment of a new bursar (Adrian Storrie) at the school, who rocks the steady and somewhat colourful lives of the staff.

The subsequent death of the bursar from poisoning puts all staff under nvestigation.

Who is the culprit? Is it the PE teacher, could it be the headmistress, the science teacher, the lab technician or another member of staff? All could have a motive.

Following a very nice supper the audience had the opportunity to question the suspects and make their decision as to who is the culprit. Difficult! They all, in many different ways, could have had their own motive.

The evening included a raffle, a quiz, and a prize was awarded for the best dressed in the theme of the play. ( the best schoolboy prize was awarded to the Reverend Keith Teasdale)

This was a very enjoyable event. Thank you to all the Over the Wall players and to all those who worked so hard to make this such a successful event.

ADDENDUM

Adrian handed over a donation of £200 to Beltingham with Henshaw PCC at the meeting on 22nd May 2025. Many thanks, this is greatly appreciated.
